NZVA Declaration-Call for investigation three Chinese media published hatred and discrimination articles against different opinions on China's interference 6park.com 6park.comNZVA is a web-based NZ Chinese group set up for the purpose of protecting New Zealand values and freedom. 6park.com 6park.comNZVA calls for investigation into three NZ Chinese media that published articles against different opinions on current political issues. The language used in their articles expressed intense hatred for different voices and the freedom of speech. A variety of extreme speeches popular in the Chinese Cultural Revolution have been represented in those articles. 6park.com 6park.comRecently, because of political donations of some Chinese businessmen, the Chinese community has different comments on this issue. We believe that although New Zealand is small, it should not neglect foreign interference and improper influence. Not long ago, Freeman Yu, a member of NZVA, submitted a petition in parliament to investigate foreign interventions and amend the law. Such discussion and petition are quite common in any democratic country. However, a writer named Morgan Xiao(Xiao,Zhihong), commented on this discussion and petition on the WeChat media with three articles full of extreme expressions used in the Cultural Revolution. Xiao condemned the people with these voices as being "Anti-China Forces". He cursed them as "anti-China son of bitxx" , "New Zealand public enemy", "anti-China Chinese and anti-China Kiwis". He even stated "All you should get out of New Zealand". 6park.comAn inconceivable bizarre thing is that such articles with intense hatred against people who are concerned about China’s interference have been successively reprinted and published recently by three professional NZ Chinese media, namely "Skykiwi.com", "Mandarin Pages" and "NZ Chinese Daily News". We are terribly shocked and cannot help visualizing the Chinese Cultural Revolution happening to us in New Zealand! 6park.com 6park.comWe believe that these three Chinese media's actions of publishing such hatred and discriminatory articles is completely unacceptable in our democratic country, meanwhile, such actions abuse their authority relating to basic media ethics.
