There are thousands of fans with suspicious sources in the social media accounts that support Guo Wengui. According to an analysis conducted by First Draft, a non-profit organization that studies false information, many accounts show various indicators of so-called fraud. The analysis found that these accounts were created in the past two years, without background photos, and usernames are random combinations of letters and numbers. These fans work together to create an online momentum for the conservative media world, which in turn reinvigorates the accounts that support Guo Wengui. "The two filter each other and feed each other," said Anne Kruger, Asia-Pacific director of First Draft.
