it may go well, or no, but that does not matter much. In a long term, trade war is just a small noise, a glitch in the market. Looking back to history, even 2008 crisis was just a glitch in the market. US still has the healthiest and strongest market in the world, not perfect, but strongest on earth. That's enough to attract investment.  So, even after Feb 1st, tariffs increase, market will temporarily drop but will quickly recover.  Market usually has short memory, and the key is enterprises still making money.  No matter what type of trade war, smart business people will still find ways to make money, and economics will still grow, in a long term.
