可以看出整部戏是四幕。
第一幕是主要演员出场，男主人公表达对AIDA的倾慕之情，然后大家斗志昂扬上战场。
第二幕是两位女性的战争，埃及军队凯旋。AIDA的爹，也就是埃塞俄比亚国王，被男主人公擒获。
第三幕是AIDA的爹以国仇来说服AIDA，让她向男主人公RADAMÈS套出埃及军队的行动路线。
AIDA两难，身处情感分裂的边缘，和男主人公打算放弃一切跑掉算了。
男主人公也犹豫半天，最后还是同意俩人一起远走高飞。
在决定走哪条路不会被本国的军队碰上的时候，男主人公脱口而出The pass of Napata。这被AIDA的爹听到，于是逃走收拢军队去了。逃走之前，对男主人公示意可以接受他这个女婿。
可是男主人公呢，后悔无意中说出的军事秘密，认为自己背叛了自己的国家，把自己交给祭司们，准备接受惩处。
第四幕是男主人公拒绝为自己辩护，国王的女儿AMNERIS想救他，也被他拒绝。他以为AIDA和她爹一起跑了，或是死了。听到AMNERIS说AIDA没有死，只是失踪了，因此盼望AIDA一切平安，自己宁愿为她而死。
男主人公被判死刑，关到陵墓里。AIDA已经先到墓里等着他了。最后俩人在密封的陵墓里气绝而亡。 6park.com
