如果你懂发动机,你应知道,这搞不好会对发动机有损害,理由不详诉了,看看COBB自己的问答:
Question:
I've just recently bought an accessport and I was wondering if it would be harmful to the engine or whatsoever to install this intake system considering that I Iive in a place where the winter is pretty harsh?
Answer:
Hello,
Colder air is more dense. In any turbo car, especially one that has upgrades to increase airflow (like this intake), you will have the tendency to overboost in the cold. Overboosting results in lean conditions that could be detrimental to your engine. There are a few ways to prevent this even with the intake installed. The easiest would be to flash the LWG version of the map you are running. LWG stands for Low-Wastegate. These maps have adjusted Wastegate Duty Cycle (WGDC) specifically for vehicles that are overboosting due to the cold. Another option would be to simply be mindful of your driving habits. If you can avoid putting high load on the car (high gear WOT pulls, hauling trailers uphill etc), you could probably get away with the NWG (normal wastegate) map. Custom tuning for each season is also an option albeit an expensive one that is a little overkill IMO. Regardless of the route you take, if you have any questions, give us a call at 866-922-3059 or email support@cobbtuning.com and we'll have the answers!
