True, but in addition to that, the west is naive and cannot think long term. They used to be able to think long term but now all the policy makers and politicians cannot see beyond the next election cycle. This means they tailor their policies to what will get them elected even if it means selling out the middle class and moving the ability to make things to China. Meanwhile over in China, they have 50 year plans and follow through relentlessly.
