? Protest – a situation in which several people are showing publicly that they don’t like something. 6park.com? Protester – a person who is protesting against something. 6park.com? Crowd – a large group of people in the street. 6park.com? Sit-in – a form of protest that involves sitting on the ground and refusing to move 6park.com? Riot – a situation in which people in the street are being violent / burning things, etc. 6park.com? Baton charge – a situation in which the police run at protesters with their batons (the long sticks they use to hit people). 6park.com? March – when a large group of people “march” for a cause, they all walk together. 6park.com? Slogan – a short phrase that explains what something is about. 6park.com? Demonstration – a large group of people protesting against something. 6park.com? Turn violent – if a situation “turns violent”, it becomes violent and people may get hurt. 6park.com? Disperse the crowd – if the police “disperse the crowd”, they do things to break up the group of people. 6park.com? Impose a curfew – if the government “impose a curfew”, they say that it’s illegal to leave your house after a certain time (6pm, for example). 6park.com? Kettling – a situation in which the police force people into a restricted area and keep them there for a period of time.
