陸軍嘉義聯保廠一名張姓中尉副廠長22日要收假時失聯，被尋獲陳屍在住家附近的車上，23日已報驗釐清死因。然而，此案已為國軍今年第16起輕生案件，其中僅有3人獲救。
針對張姓中尉輕生一事，陸軍十軍團指揮部表示，對此深表遺憾，全力配合檢警調查，撫慰家屬心緒及協助辦理後續喪葬事宜。
今年截至本月23日，國軍共有16件官兵輕生案件，除了張姓中尉之外為：
1月1日，被分發到花蓮的政戰少尉，於苗栗家中墜樓身亡。
2月26日，19歲空軍航空技術學院學生陳屍於高雄三民區某旅館。
2月28日，陸軍第六軍團指揮部542旅的黃姓下士，陳屍於車內。
2月28日，中科院一名女技術員墜樓死亡。
3月1日，憲兵211營的古姓上兵執勤中自轟不治。
3月2日，陸軍航空第602旅的趙姓下士，陳屍台中市新社區營區外產業道路旁的樹林中。
3月5日，陸軍兵工整備發展中心的潘姓下士，陳屍於集集攔河堰旁。
3月6日，中科院一名張姓員工於住處墜樓亡。
3月9日，中科院呂姓員工於7日請辭，9日陳屍家中。
3月18日，空軍防空暨飛彈指揮部一名上士，陳屍於澎湖某海軍營區水下作業大隊的曬衣間。
3月22日，海軍陸戰隊指揮部所屬陸戰六六旅江姓士官，休假期間死亡。
3月24日，台中清泉崗憲兵洪姓士官長，與父親陳屍於自家車內。除了以上12件之外，3月2日、3月24日、3月26日也傳出輕生案，所幸將官兵救回，無人死亡。
