Huajun Tang Huajun Tang 3个月前 My grandfather served in the Chinese 27th army in this battle of Changjin Lake and survived, many of his combat mates died in Korea. Luckily, he lived a normal life after the war and died at age of 90. In his last years, he had Alzheimer. He was scared of any dim light at night, insist on wearing thick clothes all the time, and keeps having nightmares. I would imagine it was a reflection of his experience during the war. Light was strictly forbidden at night is the Chinese army because it might expose their location and draws deadly bombs. The Chinese soldiers had very little supply, especially winter clothes, in the early stage of the war. War trauma is real, excuses to start wars are often fabricated. Warmongering politicians and medias are especially disgusting.
