Peter as you noted the photographs are taken in a way which is very similar on several sites.  I would suggest the photographs might be professionally taken in China and supplied to the 'auction house(s)' in the USA for them to put up on their auction website.  I would even suggest there might not be any such 'antique' pieces with the auction house, they might be warehoused in China, from where they are sent out after the auction to the successful bidder.  In other words the whole thing might be organised, sourced and distributed from China with a USA front person, who could receive a 'cut' from the sale.  It would be interesting to speak to a person who has purchased from the site and see exactly how payment was made, how the purchased item was actually received and how long it actually took.  But as you say this can only be a suggestion as there is no proof this is the case.
