Japan'seconomy contracted more than initially thought in the July-September quarter,revised official data revealed Monday, showing the world's third largesteconomy sank deeper into recession.

The drop came after a 1.7 percentcontraction in the April-June quarter, meeting a common definition of arecession as two consecutive quarters of negative growth.

On an annualised rate, the economy shrank 1.9 percent in the third quarter against theinitially-estimated fall of 1.6 percent.

I don’t understand what the government isdoing. They want to increase consumer spending but they are killing theconsumers. They increased the amount we have to pay to go anywhere in thiscountry to the point where we can’t go anywhere without spending a fortune.After that, they work to kill the buying power of the yen. It is good for bigcompanies that export goods but so bad for us. Because we are living on anisland we have to import everything. So the weaker the yen the more it cost usto buy things.
